Yesterday’s tomorrow came and brought with it a new year. A new rotation. 365 rotations around the sun. A new decade, bursting at the seams with all the hopes of the hopefull.
When you learn to take things one day at a time, you lose that hope. Every day is a new year. Minus the fireworks, of course. I went to bed promptly at 22h00 last night.
I slept until next year. Through the raucous action at the local pub and the roar of fireworks lighting up the night sky. It was a long deep sleep into the new year.
I’ve already begun working. Transcribing for a podcast. I keep thinking: “The law is an arse!” and life is not fair. But, I’m most shocked about the law. And its imperfections.
