Awombness: A Covid Story

Awombness: A Covid Story. A few weeks ago, I told you about my elderly neighbour who had contracted coronavirus. This quite literally brought COVID-19 to my very doorstep. The news was met with not an insignificant amount of over-reaction, on my part.

But my neighbour is a strong and healthy man. He walks at least 2,5 km’s a day. He did have a short stint in hospital, but his body beat this virus like Mohammed Ali’s bee sting. It must be quite an achievement to be in your 70’s and beat a pandemic!

But his illness had everyone in the building on self-imposed quarantine. Kids were kept indoors and people wore masks to hang their washing. This virus has taught me so much about human behaviour.

Will this close brush with death, make my neighbours more cautious in future or less? Only time will tell.
