Awombness: A Gift

Awombness: A Gift: You know, the only thing that kept us from genocide was a military miscalculation on Hitler’s part. History is a funny teacher. Nobody cares about the even bigger genocide in Rwanda in 1994. When neighbour turned on neighbour, and brother on sister.

Humans are strange. Capable of such profound acts of hatred. And yet so kind and gentle when handling a newborn. Or not. Some humans lack humanity. I wouldn’t call them animals, because even animals have some form of ubuntu going on.

I turned a corner on my path to recovery. Because I’m going to beat this bipolar thing. I found that my daily devotion to surrender myself and go with the flow, has been paying off in big ways. My little family #babysesame are blossoming. I’m a devoted wife and mother. So I guess I’ve already won!

To borrow from David Viscott, the purpose of life is to find your gift. The meaning of life is to give it away. This principle underpins my legacy project, in the form of this modest podcasting platform. Awombness. Radio is my gift.
