Coronavirus: A New Dawn

Coronavirus is a tiny little guy that looks like a crown. Tiny, like smaller than our genome. This means you cannot see it with the naked eye. This thing is the true king of the world. It is the most successful virus/organism. And it is going to rid the earth of a cancer called humanity. Coronavirus: A New Dawn.

Think on that for just a minute. As big and mighty as we are. We are being felled by a micro-organism, which does not have a brain. Intelligence, a brain plus power, is supposed to be what sets us apart from the animals and makes us reign supreme. And yet a tiny little guy, without a brain, is threatening to change the face of the world as we know it.

Coronavirus: A New Dawn

I always imagined that the end of the world meant an end of the earth and the solar system and everything. But now, I’m forced to wonder whether the end really signals the end of mankind. Period. Full stop. That was all she wrote. Kla gelag.

I went to the mall today, to stock up for the “21 day lockdown“. I was one of the few people wearing a mask, armed with hand sanitiser and dettol spray. People are not showing this virus the respect and deference it deserves. And this thing is coming. They seem to be lulled into a false sense of security. Lockdown only starts on Thursday, “You’ll be safe until then”.

I mean, people are walking around as if this thing will only arrive at midnight on Thursday. By which time, according to this logic, they will be safely ensconced at home. They reckon it’s like the flu. And they are young and healthy enough to handle a mild flu. But it’s not the flu. This is bigger than you’re imagination. See this sobering insight.

After it is over, I don’t think we can all go back to business as usual. We’re going to be forced to live isolated lives, connecting via the internet. The system of money, economic and political systems, all of it is going to collapse. Those who survive this, if anyone makes it out alive, will be pioneering a New Dawn.

These are my imaginings. The world is changing before our very eyes. And for once, mankind won’t be on top!
