The Indiana Pacers play their last home game in two weeks on Friday when they host the Brooklyn Nets. The two teams split two games in late October.
Since then, the Nets have fired their old head coach and dealt with several issues out of court. They’ve gone 7-5 in tenure since the two teams battled on Halloween, while Indiana has gone 7-2.

The Pacers are still missing center Daniel Theis (right knee) and winger Chris Duarte (left ankle). Andrew Nembhard (left knee) and Isaiah Jackson (left ankle) are questionable. Trevelin Queen and Kendall Brown are doubtful as they could be in the G League as part of their two-way contract. Brown made his NBA debut on Wednesday.
The Nets are missing TJ Warren, Yuta Watanabe and Alondes Williams.
Jalen Smith vs. Kevin Durant: Durant is one of the top scorers in the league and currently ranks eighth in the NBA averaging 28.8 points per game. He had 62 points in two games against Indiana earlier this season.
Durant was the most defended by Smith earlier this season during two fights between the Nets and Pacers. It’s impossible to really stop Durant, but the young frontcourt player needs to do his best for the Pacers.
Tyrese Haliburton vs. Ben Simmons: Simmons had nine points, eight rebounds and nine assists against the Pacers earlier this season. He almost had a triple double and defended at a high level.
He’ll be a tough matchup for Haliburton provided Simmons defends him over multiple possessions. Simmons has been on form recently, but Haliburton is on an all-star game for the blues and golds. Haliburton will be a key player in this duel.
