Michigan’s No. 20 Dickinson misses Ohio’s late shot, wins in OT

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) – The wildest play of the game belonged to the Bobcats. Victory eventually went to the Wolverines.

Hunter Dickinson scored 24 points and had 14 rebounds as No. 20 Michigan, spooked by a mad buzzer-beater at the end of regulation, beat Ohio 70-66 in overtime on Sunday.

“I’m exhausted,” said Michigan coach Juwan Howard.

63-61 with a 2.1 second lead in the second half, Ohio threw an inbound pass down the length of the court that hit the far edge. After a lucky bounce and a brief miss, Dwight Wilson threw in a floater to tie when time ran out.

With several Wolverines staring in disbelief, the basket stood after a video review and forced overtime.

Michigan (4-1) had taken a late lead when Kobe Bufkin was fouled after rebounding on a missed Ohio shot with 2.1 seconds left and the 61st overall. Bufkin made both free throws and set up Wilson’s basket.

The Wolverines defeated Ohio 7-3 in overtime.
