Ohio Men’s Basketball Set takes on No. 20 Michigan Sunday night

ATHENS, Ohio — The Ohio men’s basketball team (1-2) is back in action on Sunday, November 20 when the Bobcats head to Ann Arbor, Michigan to take on 20th-ranked Michigan (3-1). The tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Crisler Center. The Bobcats’ matchup will be featured on the Big Ten Network, where Connor Onion and Rapheal Davis will have the call.

The Bobcats’ matchup can also be heard on Learfield’s Ohio Sports Network. Russ Eisenstein returns for his 15th season as the Voice of the Bobcats and is joined by Rob Cornelius, an Ohio alum who has been on the shows for two decades. WXTQ (Power 105) in Athens returns as the flagship of the 11-station network.

SCOUTING NO. 20 MICHIGAN
Michigan goes into the tie with Ohio with a 3-1 record after opening the season with three straight wins and victories over Eastern Michigan and Pitt. Michigan suffered an 87-62 loss to Arizona State in Thursday night’s Legends Classic championship game.


As a team, Michigan averages 79.0 points and 36.5 rebounds per game. The Wolverines shoot .467 from field, .293 from three, and .648 from the line. Michigan is also dishing out 15.8 assists per game while forcing 12.5 turnovers and 6.5 steals per game.

In his second game for the Bobcats, junior guard Jaylin Hunter began to find his groove in the green and white.

Hunter led Ohio against Cleveland State, scoring 17 points, catching four rebounds and dishing out seven assists in the win.

After his outstanding performance at Belmont, Dwight Wilson III contributed to his career, setting a career high with four assists in the Bobcats’ win over Cleveland State.
