Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s basketball team added two signers – Faith Carson, a center, and Diana Collins, a point guard, as part of the official signing phase.

Center Faith Carson joins the Buckeyes from Buchanan High School, where she earned four varsity letters and also played with UTS Club for the last three years. Buchanan was ranked number one by Prep Hoops in all four Michigan State seasons. As a freshman, Carson was named the first all-conference team, received commendations from more than one news outlet, and helped her team achieve academic all-state. As a sophomore, Carson was named All-Conference First Team, All-State (BCAM’s First Team), and Team Academic All-State by three different outlets, and led the team to conference and district championships. She was named team captain as a senior and earned the preseason MVP title after missing her junior season.
Carson also played volleyball for four years and was named a first-team All-Conference team in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Following her senior season, she was also named the conference MVP for all regions and is nominated for all state recognition. Carson plans to major in human nutrition and is also interested in learning culinary skills and physiology. She has five family members who played college basketball, including both of her parents.
Diana Collins | 5-9 | guard | Lilburn, Ga.
Point guard Diana Collins joins Columbus from Lilburn, Georgia, where she spent four years writing letters at Brookwood High School. She also played AAU with the South East All-Stars. At Brookwood, Collins broke the records for freshman years (461 points, 18 ppg), sophomore years (507 points, 20.4 ppg), and junior years (603 points, 22 ppg). Her scoring average as a junior (22 ppg) was the highest in program history, earning Collins Regional Player of the Year and a spot on the all-state team.
In class, Collins has won the Honors Student Award, the Scholar Athlete Award, and has been a member of the National Honors Society. She plans to study biomedical engineering and hopes to study medicine in the future. Collins’ mother played basketball in West Florida.
